Fumigation of Texas A&M's football field,
Kyle Field
Fumigation sterilizes the soil. The chemical methyl bromide is injected into the soil in the form
of a gas. A plastic tarp is immediately placed over the injected soil to hold the chemical in the soil.
Fumigating the soil kills all diseases and weed seeds as well as any rhizomes and roots of the old grass. |
